Rhydolion is a family-run working farm, which has been accommodating guests since the 1950's. Gwyliau Rhydolion Holidays offers 4 beautifully designed 5 Star luxury self catering accommodations, and a small campsite set in the most spectacular location on the southern coastline of the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales. Renound for its pleasant climate all year round – the Llyn is a great escape from busy lives, and a wonderful family retreat where the young and old alike will enjoy the wildlife setting, the beaches and countryside.

Rhydolion forms the perfect base for any holiday agenda, situated just over half a mile from the popular surfing and body boarding beach of Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth); the historic picturesque villages of Llangian and Llanengan just a mile away; and only two and a half miles from the popular village of Abersoch, which is well known for its numberous watersport activities, good eateries and streetwise clothes shops.

Hoewal Cottage:
A 200-year old cosy ground floor cottage, full of character, originally a shelter for horse carriages. Ideal for young families and wheelchair users.

Sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Includes a log burner within an inglenook fireplace for those cold winter nights. Jacuzzi bath and en suite included.

Included; bed linen, electricity, heating, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, WI-FI, and more inclusive in price!

There is a small supplementary charge of £20 per dog for each stay of up to a week, with a maximum of 2 dogs per cottage. Please let us know when you are booking if you would like to bring your dog.

Hoewal Cottage is a single-storey cottage with full wheelchair access and no thresholds on entry. All internal doors are 32" wide.

Whilst the kitchen is not overly spacious, there is a roll-under worktop. The living room and kitchen are tiled throughout for easy access.

There are 3 bedrooms in total (2 doubles and one twin bedroom). Bedroom 1 has a 4' 6inch double bed, 22inch high from ground. 2nd bedroom has 3' 6inch twin beds 22inch high and open space underneath. 3rd bedroom other end of the cottage has 4 poster bed, 4' 6inch width, 20 inch high.

There are 2 bathrooms, one is a roll-in wet room (non-slip flooring) attached to Bedroom 3 with shower chair, roll-under lower level sink, grab rails and toilet raiser available on request; and the second is a bathroom with hinged grab rails by the toilet.

There is ramped access to the shared indoor games room, and easy access parking close to the cottage.

Terrain Around Property:

Hoewal has a paved patio surrounding the property with an outdoor eating area.


The picturesque village of Llangian with Post Office/shop, and a 6th Century Church lies a mile away. Llanengan village has a fine medieval church and a country pub (delicious grub!) one and a half miles away.

The well known boating resort of Abersoch is only 3 miles away. The village itself, is well supplied with good eateries and shops.

For the Kids (or just the young at heart!): Kite flying, sandcastle building, cycling, windsurfing, bodyboarding and surfing, to name but a few.

The novice or experienced sports person will find plenty to do; golf, pony trekking and riding, shooting and archery. The district offers facilities for all forms of water sports. For the more serious walker, Snowdonia National Park is only 13 miles from Pwllheli. Pwllheli itself has a well equipped Leisure Centre.

St. Tudwal’s Islands, Half Tide Rocks or Bardsey Island have a large colony of seals which is well worth a visit on one of the pleasure boats which take people out.

Beaches - on the 50 mile heritage coast are 19 sandy beaches (3 with European Blue Flag status). The South facing Porth Ceiriad is sheltered by high cliffs and interesting rock formations. Easterly winds can be avoided at Porthoer with its "Whistling Sands" and rocky pools. Porth Neigwl has a three mile beach, popular with walkers, surfers as well as sun bathers.

History Buffs - from castles and churches, to country houses and their gardens, there's plenty of historical landmarks in and around the Lleyn.
