Our fantastic activity holidays are delivered by highly experienced and well qualified instructors. The array of exciting activities have been specifically developed to suit a wide range of disabilities.

Set around a secure and pretty courtyard, our comfortable accommodation compromises en-suite single, twin and triple bedded rooms and 4 apartments. Self catering is also an option, but the majority of our guests choose to enjoy our home cooked food, which is freshly prepared on site daily.

In the evening, relax in our hydrotherapy pool, Jacuzzi or sensory room, enjoy beautiful views from the Acland room veranda, or participate in evening entertainments, all at no extra cost. A fully licenced bar is also available.

Everything we offer is together on one fully accessible site, and our prices are inclusive of accommodation, activities and all meals.

The centre is open all year round and we welcome individuals, families and groups of all ages to stay with us for 3, 4 or 7 night breaks, or come just for the day; however long you’re here you’ll discover ‘it’s what you can do that counts!’

Terrain Around Property:

We have approximately 40 acres of grounds and access to a further 40 acres of woodlands with accessible paths around Wistlandpound reservoir. The site slopes away from the main building down to the reservoir. There is an accessible ‘zigzag’ tarmac path down the slope towards the reservoir.

The centre has exclusive access to Wistlandpound reservoir for sailing, kayaking and canoeing, and we have our own pontoon with hoist facilities.

We offer a wide selection of accessible cycling options including hand cranks, KMX bikes, fun2go tandems and a Veloplus wheelchair loading bike.

Our stables and indoor and outdoor riding arenas offer horse experience activities such as natural horsemanship, stable management and working horses, as well as riding and carriage driving.

Climbing and abseiling take place on both our indoor and outdoor climbing walls. Both provide variety to suit all abilities; you can even abseil in a wheelchair. Alternatively take the zip wire for an instant adrenalin rush!

Our archery range provides the ideal opportunity to learn basic archery techniques or to enhance existing skills.

Learn bush craft and survival skills in the woods or try the challenge course. Our woodland area includes a fantastic low ropes course including the rats tail walk, postman’s walk, Burma bridge, wobbly bridge and zip wire!

We have both indoor and outdoor crate stack and the challenge continues to find out who can stack the most crates before the stack collapses.

For those who wish to venture further afield and see more of North Devon trips can be tailored to your requirements whether it’s a visit to a local town or a nearby beach or one of the many local attractions such as Exmoor Zoo.

This host can provide wheelchair accessible transport to the property (a charge may apply).
