Description

Our three cosy cottages are converted traditional farm buildings, outfitted to the highest standards with a personal touch for comfort and convenience. We’ve taken special care to welcome visitors who have limited mobility, offering wheelchair-friendly ramp access and fully-accessible shower rooms throughout. We have a Four Star rating plus M1 mobility accreditation from Visit England’s Quality in Tourism programme.

This fully equipped property is centrally heated with warm, solid wood floors throughout. It is all on one level throughout.

There is a bedroom with a king sized bed which can be converted into two single beds, an open plan kitchen with fridge, microwave and electric hob. a sitting room with comfortable bed settee for 2 extra visitors and a dining area. Our beds, bookcases. shelves and clothes hangers have been handmade in wood by a local craftsman.

French windows lead from the sitting room to a private decked area and lawn with garden furniture.

Bed linen, towels, electricity and heating are all included in the price. Freeview satellite TV, DVD player and WiFI internet are included too.

A laundry room is available for guests use with washer, dryer, ironing facilities and extra freezer space.
Wet boots may also be dried in here.

A cot and high chair are available on request and there is a large safe garden for football and other games.

Attractions

Situated in rural Lancashire yet within easy reach of the many attractions of Liverpool and the Victorian resort of Southport Cross Farm Cottages offer an ideal position for holidays. Bird watchers love nearby Martin Mere , Mere Sands Woods and Marshside. The sandy beaches of Formby with its National Trust Red Squirrel Reserve and Ainsdale where parking on the beach is possible are less than 15 minutes away. The Leeds Liverpool canal is opposite and there is a fishing area accessible to wheelchairs. The New Scarisbrick Arms pub and restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk away serving wonderful food with a warm welcome.
