A wonderful house with views over Kenmare Bay to the Caha Mountains and the Beara Peninsula.

The Ring O' Kerry Golf and Country Club, the famous Pat Spillane's Bar (impromptu Irish Traditional Music Sessions a regular occurance), Templenoe Pier and Coss Strand (pebble beach) are all within 1.5km.

The house features a spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen area leading to large south facing patio and half-acre garden. Open fireplace, multi channel satellite TV, DVD player, radio/CD player. patio furniture and free WIFI are just some of the features that will help to make your holiday extra enjoyable.

The kitchen is equipped to high standard with a fan oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, pull-out ironing board, pull-out worktables, ample cupboard space including low-level storage facilities.
The utility area off kitchen contains washing machine, tumble dryer.

The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed and ensuite toilet / shower room. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, and there is a foldaway bed available on request.

Both the main toilet/shower room and the ensuite shower room have roll-in showers. The main shower room is designed to accommodate wheelchair users and features a raised toilet (470 mm high), grab rails and freestanding shower chair.
Hoist hire available locally.

The house is an excellent base for exploring the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. Day drives to Killarney National Park, Muckross House gardens and model farm, Gap of Dunloe, Healy Pass, Conor Pass, Glengarriff - Garnish Island, Bantry House, boat trips to Skellig Islands, Sneem, Derrynane, Dingle Peninsula etc. The Iveragh Peninsula is rich in archaeological heritage. Have a picnic - combine a visit to the great pre Christian ring fort at Staigue (not far from the beach at Castlecove) with a trip to the long sandy strand at historic Derrynane (birth place of Daniel O'Connell) towards the south western end of the Peninsula. Or do some nearby sightseeing in Kenmare town, where the Stone Circle is a hidden gem.

Well behaved dogs allowed by prior arrangement with owner during the off peak season - mention at time of reservation (garden fronts onto quiet country road). We ask guests to respect our No Smoking policy in the house.

There is a generous car parking area at the rear of house, which is level with front and back doors.

There is level access throughout - no steps. One shower / toilet suitable for wheelchair users, with a roll-in shower, grab rails and a freestanding shower seat.

All doors 800mm wide except door to ensuite shower room (750 mm). Beds 570mm high (height can be increased if desired). There is no clearance under the bed for a hoist, but bed raisers can be provided, which give clearance of 5 inches. Corridor leading to bedrooms and shower / toilet is 990mm wide.

Kitchen can be operated by wheelchair users.

There's no shortage of local activities! Attractions include the many award winning restaurants and pubs of Kenmare town, forest walks, hill walking, mountain climbing, horse riding and pony trekking, trout / salmonfishing and deep sea fishing, sailing, kayaking and other water sports. Sailing and activity centre close by.

Price Range:  350 - 700 EUR Weekly

Special rates for long-term winter/off season lettings. Rental period is from 4pm onwards on date of arrival until 10am on date of departure (except by prior arrangement).


Other charges:  Oil and electricity charged by meter readings on arrival and departure. A security deposit of €100 (€150.00 in Autumn / Winter) payable on arrival is fully refundable on departure when cottage has been checked and oil and electricity bills have been settled
