The Cider Press meets the highest M3 NAS access grading. Level access is provided throughout the ground floor to living areas, shower areas and bedrooms. There is a smooth wide path at the front of the cottages and surrounding areas leading to the front doors. Door ways are all level access and 820mm wide with low level door handles. All light switches and sockets are at a suitable level. All the ground floor rooms are spacious and easy to move around.

Kitchen - Sinks and ovens are at accessible heights with spaces for a wheelchair to roll under. Dining tables are easy to access from a wheelchair. Lounge furniture is not too low and can be raised up if necessary.

Bedrooms - Beds can be made up either as doubles or twin beds. They are all 550mm high and can be raised if necessary. There is space under the bed in the accessible bedroom for a hoist. An electric profiling bed can be put into the bedroom for an additional cost of £25.

The ground floor wet room has a roll-in shower and grab rails. There are two different height raised toilet seats available. There is a fold down seat in the shower. Vanity basins have spaces under them for wheelchairs with a shelf area.

Access to the first floor is by a flight of stairs with a landing in between.

We have a mobile hoist, shower chair, bed wedges (a safe form of cot sides), large foam back supports, zimmer frames, wheelchairs and raised toilet seats all available for hire. There is usually just a charge of £20 for a week for hire of any equipment. An electric profiling bed can be hired in for the Cider Press at a cost of £25.
